BESBL (Bakersfield's EastSide Baseball League)

Our Mission

We are devoted to promoting a continuous interest in amateur baseball in Bakersfield's eastside area for players 18 years of age and under, assuring that every player improves their skills through instruction and by playing the game. Bakersfield's EastSide Baseball League is devoted to developing and preparing its athletes for college level baseball.

"None of the coaches get any money for their time, we are all volunteers. We just do it for the kids." -- John Castruita, Founding Member and Board President

Goals

Our goals are:

  • to continuously develop our athlete’s skills and knowledge of the game

    • through quality coaching and instruction

    • through opportunities to practice in real game situations and

    • through exposure to higher level play

  • to instill in every player

    • integrity

    • sportsmanship

    • discipline

    • team collaboration

    • respect

    • and a love for the game

Vision

Our vision is to ultimately purchase or secure our own fields in East Bakersfield for year-round instruction and play.
