Our Mission
We are devoted to promoting a continuous interest in amateur
baseball in Bakersfield's eastside area for players 18 years of age and under,
assuring that every player improves their skills through instruction and by
playing the game.
Bakersfield's EastSide
Baseball League is devoted to developing and preparing its
athletes for college level baseball.

Our vision
is to ultimately purchase or secure our own fields in East Bakersfield for
year-round instruction and play.
League Profile
BESBL was founded by John Castruita and Fred Gifford in
1982. It became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 2001. Bakersfield's
EastSide Baseball League is a member of the American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC)
of Southern California. BESBL is funded primarily by team registration fees,
private sponsors, local businesses, and various fundraising efforts of our
volunteer coaches, their families and team members.
